How to measure for a Reveal “inside” mount
We will deduct it from your measurements for a perfect fit.
Please indicate on the comments if you want no deductions.
For a great result, ensure you have a minimum window depth of 60mm. This means the blind will fit neatly inside the recess. If the depth is less than 60mm the blind will protrude out of the recess.
To start, draw a square or rectangle on a piece of paper – this is your window frame. If you are measuring multiple windows, give them a label, such as ‘kitchen window 1’ so you don’t get confused later.
Grab your tape measure and place it within the inside window recess. Measure across the inside of the frame from one end to the next. Do this at the top, middle and bottom of the frame as not all windows are perfectly square.
Write down the width of your window frame.
Measure the length (vertical drop) from the top of the inside recess to the base of the windowsill.
Write down the length of your window frame.
Double-check both measurements.
How to measure for Face Fix Mount 'outside' mount
Head Rail: Find the rail position above the window
Height: Measure the height to be covered from the top of the blind rail position to top of the sill or lower if overlap is desired for additional light control and privacy. Please note that a protruding sill may affect the movement of the blind and record the measurement.
Width: Measure the width including the coverage you would like on each side of the window. We recommend an overlap of at least 10cm each side, 10cm on the bottom for light control and privacy and record the measurement.
NB: We take no deductions on outside-mount installations.
If the blind goes to the floor, subtract 20mm off the drop for carpet floors and 10mm for tiled floors.
